Food & Music.

The 9th Malaysia International Food & Beverage Trade Fair where the best food around the world is served with golden plates, Indian Curry, Japanese Soba, Vietnam Pho Hoa and Penang Char Keoy Teow. Not. Thats what I thought in the first place. Its actually a expo where businesses promote their new products to the market looking for distributors. Not what I dreamed of, but still there's food to eat, for free, first hand, unlimited, unique, tasty, haha I'm getting in your nerves. Well, at least I learned some stuffs, like how they print the numbers on plastic bottles, and er... let's cut to the chase, here's some pictures.

*This should how Spongebob's house looks like*

*You wont stick this in your computer/handphone but your mouth. Chocolate.*

*Intel starts using chocolate, not chips. Literally.*

*HAHA, SORRY DIET PLAN!*

Well, I would like to share a song, it's genre is modern rock from the indie band I'm currently participating it as an intern. Past 2 years I've been learning alot from the band, song arrangements, melody, vocal control. From past experience, being a vocal for a band its tough, fucking tough. Screaming with control, singing with your diaphragm, low voice with power. Try singing Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. Tough. Thanks to Kelvin(drums) my mentor, Fei(Guitar&vocals) my vocal guru, Martin(Bass) the bands savior.

*Yoda's around padawan*

Here it is, i ran out of breath in the end, sang alot before this. Leave some comments, criticism is welcomed too, only constructive critism is accepted. And no, "The song sucks" is not considered "constructive".

To North And Back.

Day 1
The noise of the alarm broke off on the 19th of June, silently crept out of bed, face half dead when i realised, i'll be eating char keoy toew, hokkien mee and ais kacang for dinner tonite! yay! So, i left KL at 1pm sitting the Plusliner and took at least 4 hours to reach the island. Noticed nobody goes to Penang for fun on weekdays.

*Penang Bridge.*

At least the sea in Penang is still blue, not brown or yellow. Finnally, once DAP took over, there's a huge ass Pencegah Rasuah building right in the middle of town, which i think they used the rasuah money to build it. But from what i heard, there're doing a good job removing corruption and building fountains around Penang. As if Penangnites still want to see somemore water around. Back to my vacation, first stop Queensbay Mall right after i step out from the bus i was dragged there so that someone could get her MNG bag which was 50% off, it was on sale. Ate the best ais kacang in Penang which is in the Jusco food court, they say it was franchised from Penang Road ais kacang stall. Took a few pics and then we're off to dinner.

*T-Bowl - Toilet concept restaurant*

*Skating Rink - No ice*

Went to a hawker area near Bukit Jambul Complex, which sells the best tom yam magee mee soup ever. Couldnt take the heat so i ordered duck noodle mee suah instead. Not too bad, fried oyster was not too bad as well. Enjoyed the Incredible Hulk movie after dinner at Gurney Plaza, very action-romantic-painfull movie to watch, remember to catch Tony "Iron Man" Stark at the end of the movie, makes you wonder whether its Iron Man v.s. Incredible Hulk or Iron Man & Incredible Hulk v.s "???". Hulk is the same guy from The Illusionist. Nice.

*duckk meee suahhhh*

*Gurney Plaza - between G Hotel and Gurney Drive.. gurney drive... yum*

After that back to the house i'm gonna reside in for the next 4 days of my vacation. The house which won the Best Garden of Jalan Delima 1998, which i agree should've won every year.

*Best*

Day 2
Lunch at Beach Street, here's the best part of my vacation in Penang, the BEEF NOODLE. Note that its in caps, cos its too fucking tasty. Chewy beef slices and beef balls top with the perfect soup and chilli sauce XD

*The Art*

*The Artist herself*

Tea time @ New Lane, the place looks like it doenst provide good food because its clean and poshy. But whoah. Char keoy teow & ais kacang at its best.

*Now thats a happy char keoy teow*

*Mt. Ais Kacang*

A stroll in the gurney plaza with my missus. Window shopping, window shopping and more window shopping. The cash is kept for dvd's at Batu Feringghi. Original dvd's. Yea rite.Cuppa mocha frap to keep me going and dinner at Zing Do, some Korean fast food restaurant. A romantic stroll under the moonlit beach and went yamcha with my missus besties. Mamak which sells Nasi Lemak Goreng and Magee Tom Yam, you cant find those here in PJ.

*The 2 that keeps me going every morning*

*Kimchi-beef-cucumber-taugeh-egg yolk-rice something something*

*Nasi Lemak Goreng - Its rice with fats and its fried, wow*

Day 3
Kek Lok Si temple, reminds me of tortoises and laksa. Which is what i had for breakfast, laksa, not tortoise. Not that bad, but still better than Wai Sek Kai laksa in SS2. The tortoise in Kek Lok Si reduced alot compared to the time i went there as a child. And the tortoises there are getting hornier, that day itself i witnessed 2 couple of tortoise humping. Sounds like taking 2 rocks and using it to clap every 5 seconds.

*Gwai Lin Kou buffet*

*I'm gonna take it slowooowow... sensual seduction*

Next, tea time! Take away cendol @ Penang Road and ate it at my missus parents handphone shop which looks more like a museum, decorated with charcoal heated iron, old square two knob radio and duit pisang used before the Brits took over Malaya. After that, a stroll in the beach again, this time to watch the sunset and taking silhouette photos.

*Silhouette me*

*2 Sunshines behind me*

*The sunset - have you enjoyed one before?*

Dinner at the New Lane, the last dinner before i leave. Fried pork intestine porridge and wan tan mee, concludes with ais kacang again!

*The New Lane which looks old*

*The pork intestines which looks good*

Day 4
Finnaly my vacation comes to an end.. damn. Went to pray at a 2 temples to bless my trip home and the people i love and take away mua chi! woot! Its so good that you cant finish chewing it. JT, better get ready to be jealous.

*Mua Chi - Its like swallowing sweet melted rubber*

*Last lunch @ Penang - courtesy of Mrs.Yew*

Anyway, gained weight after coming back but mostly enjoyed my stay there. For the very first time i actually visited Penang, the inner roads and secret stalls which is sacred from tourist. Thanks to my missus. But still just wished you guys were here as well, as always.

*Those were the days*
